Having grown up with friends' Chris Crafts on Lauderdale
Lakes, it was a dream come true to find and bring home my own
vintage wood boat. The first summer was given over to straightening
out the mechanicals and the following year I was fortunate enough
to work alongside Joe Norton of Norton Boat Works in Green Lake
on the restoration of a 22 ft. Sportsman. The following year I
was able to redo the deck and hull of my boat. I also refinished
the steering wheel and had all new upholstery installed. This
winter's project is to replace the original bottom with a WEST
bottom.
